This is based on the stepped tone generator by Forest Mims, also known as the atari punk console. It is built inside an old Weston Megohmmeter, Model 796. All of the electronics have been replaced and it has been mounted on a piece of wood.

You have controls for frequency and pulse length with two original knobs, as well as a toggle on/off, the meter only functions as a housing for a power indicator.

The two screws below the output jack have a “hidden” feature. When touched they produce a glitchy sort of pitch bend.

It has a 1/4″ output and runs off a U.S. style wall adapter that connects to the terminals on the face of the device.
